Shanghai, China, November 10, 2020 – Honeywell Aerospace participated in the World Import Expo for the third time in a row, and brought a variety of its products and solutions, such as ultraviolet cabin cleaning system and JetWave satellite communication system, to demonstrate its innovative products and technologies in terms of interconnection, safety and efficiency. In addition, at the exhibition, Honeywell also cooperated with a number of airlines and aircraft manufacturers in China, and Honeywell will use its years of experience in the industry and innovative technology to help the recovery of the aviation industry.

The ultraviolet cabin cleaning system exhibited at the conference was the first public appearance of the product in China. As an innovative product launched by Honeywell after the outbreak of the epidemic, the ultraviolet cabin cleaning system has received wide attention from the global industry. The system is appropriately sized for aircraft beverage carts, equipped with ultraviolet cleaning lamp arms, which can be extended to the top of the seat to sweep the cabin, thus completing the cabin exterior cleaning operation. For large and medium-sized airlines, the cost of cleaning operations for a single flight can be as low as less than $10 and can be completed in 10 minutes. Recently, Honeywell is upgrading the system, and the new version will be applied to a variety of transportation scenarios.

At the Expo, Honeywell also collaborated with a number of Chinese airlines and aircraft manufacturers. On November 5, Honeywell signed an agreement with China Eastern Airlines Group to supply 131-9A auxiliary power units (APUs) for its 36 new Airbus A320NEO aircraft, and will also provide exercises and related services to help them improve their APU repair capabilities. On November 6, Honeywell signed a 131-9A APU warranty service agreement with Colorful Guizhou Airlines to help improve the operating power of its fleet through professional products and services. In addition, after Honeywell won the 2019 COMAC Excellent Supplier Bronze Award issued by COMAC last month, the exchange and cooperation between the two sides have also been further deepened at the Expo.

Honeywell has a long and close relationship with our country's aviation industry. Honeywell's products and technologies are available on a number of domestic models: for example, the ARJ-21 is equipped with the main soaring control system, the auxiliary power system, wheel and brake system, inertial navigation system and soaring control system are supplied for the C919, and the cockpit avionics system Primus Apex is supplied for the Y-12. In addition to product and technology collaboration, Honeywell is also actively involved in the training of aviation professionals in China. In November 2009, Honeywell China Aviation Academy was officially completed in Shanghai, actively contributing to the cultivation of talents in China's aviation industry.
