Discuss the development pattern of the industry

The forum was hosted by the Cold Chain Logistics Professional Committee of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (hereinafter referred to as the "Cold Chain Committee of the China Federation of Things"), bringing together more than 150 enterprises and industry experts from the upstream and downstream of the cold chain such as chain catering, food retail, fresh e-commerce, cold chain logistics, cold chain equipment and cold storage, and jointly discussed topics such as industry development trends, policy orientation, and technological innovation.

At the meeting, the guests in the industry shared their themes on different topics——

Yu Feng, President of Honeywell China, focused on the "Twenty Years of Cold Chain - A View of the Development and Prospect of China's Cold Chain Industry", starting from the definition, development significance, development history and development status of cold chain logistics, and proposed that based on the current situation, we should also control policies to help improve the cold chain logistics network, upgrade technology applications, drive the demand of fresh e-commerce, improve the level of lean management, green and low-carbon sustainability, and normalize epidemic prevention and control. Honeywell hopes to work with industry colleagues to create a new chapter in the future development of cold chain logistics.

Qin Yuming, Secretary-General of the Cold Chain Committee of the China Federation of Things, said in his speech that under the new development pattern, all parties have put forward higher requirements for the development of cold chain logistics. At the end of 2021, the "14th Five-Year Plan" for the development of cold chain logistics, the first special development plan for cold chain logistics issued by the State Council in China, was officially introduced, pointing out a new direction for the future digital development of cold chain logistics. The development of the cold chain logistics industry is inseparable from the joint efforts of everyone, and it is hoped that we can gather the strength of many parties to explore the new future of digital cold chain development.

Liu Fei, executive deputy secretary-general of the Cold Chain Committee of the China Federation of Things, shared the topic of "Thinking on the Digital Development of Cold Chain Logistics in the 14th Five-Year Plan", he said that cold chain logistics as a traditional industry, digital transformation and upgrading is particularly important, and the cold chain logistics track based on digitalization is subversive and sustainable. Under the new development pattern, only by catering to ideas, implementing them, reserving talents, and actively embracing can cold chain logistics enterprises truly achieve digital upgrading.

In addition, Wang Shuhui, Market Strategy Manager of Honeywell Safety & Productivity Solutions Group, Xie Yu, Managing Director of Shanghai Kuaixing Tianxia Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., and Wang Bin, Asia-Pacific Technical Manager of Honeywell Performance Materials and Technologies Group, respectively discussed the core points of the upstream and downstream industrial chain challenges of cold chain logistics, the new pattern of industry development and the new requirements of green development, and put forward development suggestions for cold chain logistics integration, digital intelligence, green and efficient based on their own technologies, products and business cases.

At the end of the meeting, Yu Dongye, Vice President of Fuller Technology, served as the moderator, and had a dialogue session with Zhang Jingtao, Chairman and CEO of Yiliu Technology, Wang Shuhui, Market Strategy Manager of Honeywell Safety and Productivity Solutions Group, Cao Xia, Marketing Director of Fluorine Products Asia Pacific of Honeywell Performance Materials and Technology Group, and Wu Xiaofeng, Director of Wanwei Cold Chain Supply Chain.

The guests who participated in the dialogue successively put forward development suggestions such as strengthening the construction of cold chain production areas, improving the front-end warehouse model, promoting digital and intelligent transformation, developing existing green and low-carbon technologies, and improving integrated lean management capabilities around the trend of cold storage construction and operation, efficient collaboration of enterprises under new needs, and digital technology to help enterprise development.
