A few days ago, ABB officially opened its Asia-Pacific logistics center for robot spare parts in Shanghai, which will provide spare parts support for more than 10 Asia-Pacific countries and regions, including China, and further improve ABB's service strength in the Asia-Pacific region. ABB Robotics is the world's leading provider of robotics skills, with 1,600 service professionals in more than 100 regions in 53 countries around the world. ABB offers a broad portfolio of spare parts, field service, training, and expertise based on the experience of 500,000 robotic installations worldwide, as well as 24×7 hours of service through dedicated call centers and regional service centers to ensure efficient production for customers.
The launch of the ABB Robot Spare Parts Asia-Pacific Logistics Center, supported by DHL's advanced digital warehouse management and intelligent supply chain supply, can shorten the delivery time of spare parts in the Asia-Pacific region by 50% and further improve the on-time delivery rate of customer orders.
Zhu Hui, head of service and digital platform in China of ABB Robotics Affairs Department, said:
In order to better serve our customers, improve customer satisfaction, optimize the operation of the global spare parts business, further improve the response speed, shorten the delivery time, and ensure on-time delivery, we have carried out a series of optimization and improvement on the logistics and order process of spare parts since the previous year, and the establishment of the Asia-Pacific logistics center is one of the very important steps, which is also ABB's further differentiation 'in China, for our country, and for the world'.
Asia is one of ABB's most important stores, and according to the International Federation of Robotics, about two-thirds of the world's robots were sold to Asia in 2019. After the opening of the new spare parts Asia-Pacific logistics center, it will be able to provide more efficient spare parts services for China's mainland, Australia, Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam and other regions, further improve customer experience, assist customers to improve robot normal operation time, improve production power, and reduce spare parts costs.
At present, ABB has more than 2,000 kinds of spare parts directly from the Asia-Pacific logistics center to Asia-Pacific countries and regions, and it is expected that by the third quarter of this year, the logistics center's spare parts will expand to more than 4,000 kinds of spare parts, including a series of products such as robots and atomizers.
