Recently, Kawasaki Robotics has released the new RS013N and KJ155 series of robots to meet the needs of more diverse terminals. It is understood that the new robot has been transformed accordingly in both product planning and functional performance. The evolved RS series is faster and more convenient to operate; The KJ155 series has a longer arm span, IP67 protection level, and a built-in hollow hose in the arm, making it a general-purpose robot for assembly and transfer.
The RS series continues to evolve
Compared with previous models, the Kawasaki Robotics RS013N series was first upgraded before product planning. The original model generally equips the JT1 motor in the rotating part, and JT1 and JT2 are exposed outside, while the RS013N equips all motors in the outer cover, and the JT1 motor is equipped in the base part, which greatly expands the working radius of the robot. Due to the wide scale of the movements, the robot can cover workpieces from near the arm to farther away, e.g. in sorting situations.
Secondly, in terms of function optimization, the RS013N series is faster, which can assist users to forward the production of power through high-speed operation cycle; Loads up to 13kg. With flexible system planning, the RS013N can be easily connected to vision cameras or other devices. Users can also choose whether to carry out Ethernet cabling and robot equipment mode (RS013N support wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted, floor-mounted) according to their own needs.
KJ155 is more cost-effective
As a hot-selling product of Kawasaki Robot, the explosion-proof coating robot, it has the highest market share in Japan; Together, they have a large number of shipments in the world's primary markets. Kawasaki Robotics indicates that the company's explosion-proof painting robots include 13 models, covering up the painting of small parts to large cars.
The base of the Kawasaki explosion-proof coating robot is built into the hollow hose of the arm, which can prevent fog from adhering to the hose and forming "pitting defects" on the work. Users can also choose a wide range of peripheral equipment such as robot walking equipment, job transfer, rotating equipment, coating machine control panel, and program input equipment according to their own needs.

The new KJ155 has a maximum arm span of 1545mm, and the extended arm span creates a larger operation scale. On this basis, the KJ155 has a total weight of only 195kg, which helps users to use space wisely, and is convenient for equipment and quick use. Overall, the cost-effective advantage of KJ155 can greatly reduce the capital cost of the automation line.

Kawasaki Robotics pointed out that the newly launched RS013N and KJ155 have further improved the robot series. Not only will it have better functions, but it will also adapt to more use scenarios, helping more and more professional users to complete fast, efficient and convenient robot substitutions.
Data from the Gaogong Robot Industry Research Institute (GGII) flashed that the sales volume of industrial robots in 2020 was 169,700 units, a year-on-year increase of 10.84%. In 2021, epidemic prevention has now entered a new normal, and for the robot profession, the demand has indeed been further strengthened, which will be good in the long run. Together, 2021 is the year of the "14th Five-Year Plan", and the robot industry has entered a new stage, ushering in new opportunities, new goals and new challenges.
In the future, Kawasaki Robotics will settle in the center of customer demand, continuously upgrade and iterate products, and take deep roots in China to help China's intelligent manufacturing 2025.
