1. Take out the Rosemount 3051 and remove the electronic enclosure marked "FIELD TERMINALS".

2. Connect the positive conductor to the "PWR/COMM+" terminal block and the negative conductor to the "–" terminal block.

When wiring the Rosemount 3051, you should pay attention to:

Do not connect the band telecom cable to the test terminal, as energizing will damage the test diode in the test line. Shielded twisted pair cables should be used for best measurements. To ensure proper communication, use 24 AWG or higher cables, but not more than 5,000 feet (1500 meters).

3. Seal the unused catheter interface on the Rosemount housing with a catheter plug.

4. If possible, use a drip loop when installing the Rosemount 3051 wiring. Make the bottom of the drip loop lower than the catheter connection and transmitter housing.
