The intelligent Rosemount transmitter is also equipped with a hand-held terminal (external data setter or integrator) for setting transmitter parameters, such as setting the type of transmitter, range adjustment, zero point adjustment, input signal selection, output signal selection, engineering unit selection and damping time constant setting, and self-diagnosis.

The software of the digital Rosemount transmitter includes a system program and a functional module, which refers to the management of each part of the circuit of the transmitter hardware, and enables the transmitter to complete the most basic functions, such as the conversion of analog signals and digital signals, data communication, transmitter self-testing, etc. Functional modules: resource module variable conversion, damping time setting analog input, display conversion, range automatic switching calculation function, nonlinear calibration PID, control function and temperature error calibration alarm.

The transmitter includes range adjustment, zero adjustment and zero migration. The linearization and transmitter signal transmission methods make the upper limit of the output signal of the transmitter correspond to the upper limit of the measurement scale, and the range adjustment is equivalent to the slope of the input and output characteristics of the change transmitter, that is, the ratio factor between the output signal y of the transmitter and the input signal x of the change transmitter.
