Application Description:

The RulerXR150 all-in-one 3D camera from SICK continuously scans the entire shaft from left to right with a laser line direction perpendicular to the axis of the drive shaft and a speed of 450 mm/s. Through the height difference of the 3D visual measurement position, the position feature points in the positioning transmission shaft are identified, and the distance values of the sheath position, sheath spacing, shock absorbing ring, total shaft length and other detection items in the shaft are calculated. It improves the quality and efficiency of production, and provides customers with more reliable, faster and more stable solutions.

Application difficulties

The axis movement speed is 450mm/s, and the 3D camera needs to meet the high-speed production needs of the equipment.

The image quality is high, and the 3D camera needs to output a high-quality 3D depth map to accurately locate the edge position.
