Standardize with the help of the Smart Press-Fit Function Kit
In the production system, the suite of intelligent functions forms the core component of the first of the five assembly stations. The subsystem consists of several components, including electric cylinders, servo motors, servo drives, industrial PCs, and force sensors. The main task of the press-fit kit is to electromechanically guide a tube about 250 mm long through the inside of the aluminium oil pan and press it into the space with a defined force. The groundbreaking software features of the Smart Joining Function Kit include a commissioning wizard, a graphical programming module, a control panel that displays current process information, and a range of functions for diagnostic, visualizing and evaluating processes. During a fully guided commissioning process, the software assistant automatically sets the parameterization for the drive controller. Visually define processes using ready-made modules that are arranged by simple drag-and-drop and then given parameters.
Connectivity and security
With the help of function blocks, the line control system can be connected quickly and easily via a fieldbus. The Smart Function Kit also supports the OPC-UA standard. The suite of smart functions provides more options for data access with analog and digital inputs/outputs, as well as the ReST API. With open interfaces and the process information available through open interfaces, mechanical engineering companies are able to meet quality assurance and documentation requirements in a faster and simpler way than ever before.
KMS Automation uses the safety control system as the basis for the system's safety functions. PROFIsafe is used for safe communication between the safety device and the suite of smart functions, in addition to ensuring that the specified maximum safety speed is not exceeded.
