Photoelectric switch (photoelectric sensor) is the abbreviation of photoelectric proximity switch, which uses the shielding or reflection of the beam by the detected object to connect the circuit by the synchronous loop to detect the presence or absence of the object. When the photoelectric sensor outputs the signal, the signal is occasionally unstable, and many people do not know why.

                              The reason why the output signal of the photoelectric sensor is unstable

The following conditions may cause the output signal of the photoelectric sensor to detect an object that is unstable:

(1) The power supply is abnormal;

(2) The detection frequency is too fast;

(3) The size of the measured object;

(4) The measured object is not in the stable detection area of the sensor;

(5) Electrical interference.

Countermeasure:

(1) Supply a stable voltage to the sensor, and the current supplied must be greater than the current consumed by the sensor;

(2) The speed at which the measured object passes through must be slower than the response speed of the sensor;

(3) The size of the measured object must be larger than the standard detection object or the small detection object;

(4) The measured object must be detected within the stable detection range of the sensor;

(5) Corresponding protective measures can be taken, such as: making shielding shields around the probe, grounding high-power equipment, etc.

When using photoelectric sensors, it is also necessary to pay attention to avoid dusty places as much as possible; Places with a lot of corrosive gases; Places where water, oil, and chemicals may be splashed directly; Outdoor or sunlight and other places with strong direct sunlight and no shading measures; Places where the ambient temperature changes beyond the specified range of the product; Places where there is a large vibration or impact, and no measures have been taken to absorb the shock.
