The pressure sensor is still widely used in this world, but it is still a metal product after all, and it will fail after a long time.
1. Sealing problems of pressure transmitters
When the initial pressurization is applied, the output of the transmitter is not changed, and the output of the pressurized transmitter is suddenly changed. Once the pressure is released, the zero position of the transmitter will not return. There may be a problem with the pressure sensor seal.
Typically, because of the sealing standard, the seal is compressed to the sensor pressure port after the sensor is tightened, blocking the sensor. The pressure medium does not enter the pressurized condition, but when the pressure is high, the sealing ring suddenly opens, and the pressure sensor changes due to the pressure. The best way to eliminate such faults is to remove the sensor and see if the zero level is normal. If the zero position is normal, replace the seal and try again.
2. The pressure may rise, and the transmitter output will not enter
In this case, you should first look to see if the pressure port is leaking or blocked. If you have confirmed that there is none, please check the correctness of the wiring method and check the power supply. If the power supply is normal, simply pressurize to see if the output has changed or to see if there is an output at the zero position of the sensor. If there is no change, the sensor is damaged. Otherwise, the instrument will be damaged or the rest of the system will be problematic.
3. The error between the transmitter and the pointer pressure gauge is very large
Such an error is normal, and the normal error scale can be determined; The final simple fault is the effect of the differential pressure transmitter's mounting position on the zero output. Because the measurement scale of differential pressure transmitters is small, the sensing elements in the transmitter can affect the output of the differential pressure transmitter. The pressure-sensitive element of the transmitter should be mounted at an angle of 90 degrees perpendicular to the direction of gravity. After installation and fixation, remember to adjust the transmitter zero point to the standard value.
4. The output signal of the transmitter is unstable
This failure is certainly a matter of stressors. The stressor itself is an unstable pressure. The resistance of the external or pressure sensor is likely to be weak, the sensor itself is very vibrating or the sensor is damaged.

Notes on Linear Position Sensors – ifm
1. If the electronic ruler has been used for a long time, and the seal is now aging, it is mixed with a lot of impurities, and the water mixture and oil will seriously affect the contact resistance of the brush, which will make the displayed numbers constantly beat. At this time it can be said that the electronics of the linear displacement sensor ...

Sensor performance indicators – ifm
Selection of sensitivity
In general, within the linear scale of the sensor, the higher the sensitivity of the sensor, the better. Because as long as the sensitivity is high, the value of the output signal corresponding to the measured change is relatively large, which is conducive to the signal processing.

The difference between the ifm proximity switch PNP and NPN
There are two kinds of proximity switches: NPN output type (current inflow) and PNP output type (current outflow), when the current outflow sensor (PNP output type) is turned on, the current flows from the power supply to the load through the output terminal of the sensor, enters the load, and then flows to the connection.
