The first step in selecting a pressure sensor is to determine the pressure to be measured. Exciter sensors are divided into mechanical pressure and pneumatic pressure (hydraulic). The mechanical pressure unit is generally N.KN.KGF, etc. The pneumatic and hydraulic units are generally KPA, MPa, PSI, etc. This article describes the selection of mechanical pressures.

1. For mechanical pressure, the first thing to consider is whether it is pressure measurement or tensile force measurement. If you only measure pressure, you can choose a pressure measurement sensor. If you need to measure the tensile force, you need to select a tensile pressure sensor. In addition, if you need to connect something or pressure head, it is best to choose a tension pressure sensor to make it easier for things to remove. The author has seen a case before. The customer selects a pressure measurement sensor. The pressure sensor is pressed down. First, press it into something and continue to press down until you reach the product.

In this way, the force sensor is subjected to a force first, and then the product is subjected to a force, the excitation sensor and the product are subjected to different forces, and the force on the product itself is less than that of the pressure sensor, and when the structure is now determined, the customer can only add a compensation value in the PLC program. In this case, if a pressure sensor is selected, it can completely prevent the sensor from being connected to something at the beginning.

2. In order to prevent overload damage to the sensor, load damage sensor, the range should be as large as possible. If it is driven by a pneumatic cylinder or pneumatic cylinder, the maximum thrust of the cylinder or cylinder, including the impact force, should be calculated.

3. Pick the shape and size of the pressure sensor. If there is no space constraint on the installation, a slightly larger sensor can be selected. There are generally threaded holes at the bottom of large sensors, which are convenient for installation and can be fixed directly with screws, saving the trouble of adding things. In addition, in general, slightly larger sensors are relatively accurate.

4. The ambient temperature has a certain influence on the operation of the sensor. When selecting a pressure sensor, the temperature factor should also be considered. If the ambient temperature is too high, explain to the manufacturer how to select a high-temperature sensor.

5. Since the pressure sensor outputs a millivolt signal, the signal is not a standard analog signal, so it should be equipped with a transmitter, also known as an amplifier, to convert the signal into a standard analog signal or a digital signal, such as a standard analog 4-20ma.0-5V.0-10V, digital RS232.RS485, etc.
