1. Confirmation of the initial void

The various types of oscillating sensors should have excellent linearity at a certain void voltage value, so it is necessary to adjust the appropriate initial void when installing the sensor.

According to the characteristic curve of the oscillation sensor, the maximum static size of the sensor used for oscillation measurement should not be greater than 2.5 mm. In order to obtain better linearity under dynamic conditions, the operating void should be within the scale of 0.3?2.8 mm, that is, the gap voltage indicated by the surface is 2?16V, so the operating point of the sensor should be selected and the gap voltage is static when the gap voltage is about 11V.

2. Ensure that the appearance to be tested must be smooth

If the ovality is less than 20 microns, the surface roughness and ellipticity of the measurement result will bring large errors to the measurement results, such as partial corrosion, pits, or scratches. Even if it does not oscillate, the output voltage of the eddy current sensor will fluctuate, and it will not even be possible to use the measurement results.

3. The role of metal material

In application, in addition to paying attention to the problem of voids, it is also necessary to consider what kind of metal data to measure. Because the same sensor can measure objects with different data, its output sensitivity is also different. Therefore, if the manufacturer uses a certain calibration data to give a standard curve, if it is not the actual calibration data, the generated standard curve is best recalibrated with the actual application data.

4. Temperature influence

The maximum operating temperature of the oscillation sensor is ≤180°C. Currently, domestic oscillation? The maximum acceptable temperature of the sensor is mostly below 120°C. In fact, the operating temperature above 70°C will not only greatly reduce the sensitivity, but also damage the sensor, because it is necessary to install the sensor in the bearing bushing when measuring the shaft oscillation of the high, medium and low pressure shafts of the steam turbine, and it is necessary to verify it before installation. If necessary, it is better to give a temperature effect correction curve.
