In the process of operation, try to ensure that the inverter (hereinafter referred to as -VFD) has a satisfactory acceleration and deceleration time, and the VFD has its own soft start function when starting or accelerating; When the power is shut down or the speed is slowed down, it has the function of soft shutdown. Add acceleration and deceleration times as much as possible within the range promised by the device. When the equipment requires short acceleration and deceleration times, the VFD should adopt the following measures:
(1) The acceleration and deceleration time is determined by the VFD capacity and load. The heavier the load, the smaller the VFD capacity, and the longer the acceleration and deceleration time should be set.
(2) The minimum acceleration and deceleration time is determined by the capacity of the VFD. If the inrush current during operation exceeds the rated current of the VFD within the promised time, it is necessary to increase the capacity of the VFD.
(3) If the deceleration time is short, such as (less than 5s), consider setting the braking parameters on the VFD. Generally, small VFD has a built-in braking unit and an external braking resistor; VFD external braking unit and braking resistor.
(4) The starting speed and stopping speed should be on the one hand. If the shutdown slows down too quickly, it is easy to damage the VFD. I've encountered this phenomenon: normal shutdown when shutting down. The next time I turned on the computer, I found VFD damage, but I mistakenly thought it was formed by booting. In fact, it is formed because the shutdown decelerates too quickly, and it is often difficult to detect in time.
For the instantaneous power failure and restart of large inertial loads, an appropriate starting method should be set and braking should be set before starting, while for small inertial loads (such as small fans) where the motor rotates forward or reverse when the VFD is in a shutdown condition, the speed tracking starting method should be set.
It is strictly forbidden to use VFD to control mechanical equipment. mechanical braking and any additional electric braking, otherwise the VFD will be damaged.
It is strictly forbidden to disconnect or connect the output line during work. When it is necessary to turn on or off a switch (such as a contactor) during operation, it is necessary to strictly follow the following process: first, stop the output of the VFD through the control loop, stop the operation of the motor, and then turn on the switch on the VFD output line. When the switch on the output line is turned on again, the VFD can be restarted and put into normal operation.
The articulation from the VFD to the motor should not be too long.
Try to be less than 100m, and the cross-sectional area should not be too large. Otherwise, the parasitic capacitance of the cable is too large, and the excessive peak current that occurs when the power switching equipment is turned off will simply damage the power inverter module, making the VFD protection action unusable. When the connection is too long, an output reactor can be installed on the output side to compensate.
