The difference between Mitsubishi PLC source type and leak type

Mitsubishi PLC split source type (PNP) or drain type (NPN), here are their differences

1: Leakage logic: When the current flows out of the signal input terminal, the signal becomes ON, which is leakage logic. The current flows through the terminals and has the output characteristics of an NPN transistor.

2: Source logic: When the signal input terminal inflows current, the signal becomes ON, which is the source logic. The current flows from the terminals and has the output characteristics of a PNP transistor.

                               The difference between Mitsubishi PLC source type and leak type

Take a positive power supply as an example:

When the signal terminal announces the "ON" signal, if its voltage is low (0V), it is leakage logic;

When the signal terminal announces an "ON" signal, if the voltage is high (24V for PLCs, inverters, etc.), it is source logic.

The source input is useful high, meaning that current flows in from the input point, and the drain input is useful when it comes low, meaning that current flows out of the input point.
