How relays work
Relays generally refer to electromagnetic relays, that is, mechanical actions. The working principle of the relay is essentially to use one loop (generally a small current) to control the on/off of another circuit (generally a large current), and in this control process, the two circuits are generally isolated.
The basic principle of the relay is to use the electromagnetic effect to control the mechanical contact to achieve the purpose of on-off, and to energize the coil with the iron core - the coil current generates a magnetic field-magnetic field adsorption armature action on-off contact, the whole process is a process of "small current-magnetic-mechanical-large current".
What is the use of relays
The relay is an automatic switching element with isolation function, and when the change of the excitation amount in the input loop reaches a specified value, the controlled power in the output circuit can undergo a predetermined step change.
The relay has an induction mechanism that can reflect a certain excitation quantity (electric or non-electric) from the outside world, an actuator that realizes "on" and "off" control of the controlled circuit, and an intermediate comparison mechanism that can compare, judge and convert the size of the excitation quantity.
Relays are widely used in remote control, telemetry, communication, automatic control, mechatronics and aerospace technology, etc., playing the role of control, protection, regulation and transmission of information.

Siemens APT Relays - Precautions for the use of solid state relays
1. When choosing the solid state used in the printed circuit board with small current specifications, because the lead terminal is made of high thermal conductivity material, the welding should be carried out under the condition that the temperature is less than 250 °C and the time is less than 10S.

Siemens APT Relays – The difference between AC relays and DC relays
1. Structural characteristics of AC relays
The coil of the AC relay is shorter, and the wire diameter is thicker, mainly because the coil is passed through the alternating current, the reactance is larger, and the thick wire diameter can reduce the internal resistance and reduce the heat generation.

Siemens APT Relays – The difference between solid state relays and intermediate relays
First, the solid-state relay has no contacts and coils in the structure, which can be opened and closed at a high frequency and will not produce sparks, and has a long service life;
Second, the intermediate relay is generally only used for the control loop, and cannot work with load, and will make a "pop" sound when it is sucked in;

Siemens APT Relays – How to Choose the Right Power Relay
1. Measure the resistance of the contact
Use the resistance level of the universal meter to measure the resistance of the normally closed contact and the moving point, and its resistance value should be 0, (the contact resistance value can be measured in a more accurate way within 100 milliohms); The resistance between the normally open contact and the moving point is infinite. From this, it can be distinguished which is a normally closed contact ...

Siemens APT current transformer – current transformer operating error
When the current transformer is finalized and its internal parameters are determined, the magnitude of the error will be affected by the secondary current (or primary current), secondary load, power factor, and frequency. These factors are called external factors, and the error of the current transformer in operation is mainly affected by these four factors.

How a current transformer works
The principle of current transformer is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. A current transformer is composed of a closed core and windings. It has a small number of turns on the primary side winding, stringed in the line where the current needs to be measured, so it often has the full current of the line ...
