1. Ground the ground terminal of the inverter.

2. Connect the power input terminal of the inverter to the power supply through the leakage protection switch.

3. Check whether the factory display of the inverter display window is normal, if it is incorrect, it should be changed to reset the operation, if it is still incorrect, it should be returned.

The general inverter has 6 keys such as RUN, STOP, PROG, DATA/ENTER, UP, ▲, and DOWN, ▼, and the definition of the operation key of different inverters is basically the same. In addition, some inverters also have function keys such as monitoring (MONTTOR/DISPLAY), reset (RESET), inching (JOG), and shift (SHIFT).

Second, the inverter with motor no-load operation

1. Set the power and number of poles of the motor, and comprehensively consider the working current of the inverter.

2. Set the maximum output frequency, fundamental frequency, and torque characteristics of the inverter. The selection of V/f types includes items such as high frequency, basic frequency, and torque type. High frequency is the highest frequency that the inverter-motor system can run, because the high frequency of the inverter itself may be higher, when the high frequency allowed by the motor is lower than the high frequency of the inverter, it should be set according to the requirements of the motor and its load. The basic frequency is the dividing line between constant power control and constant torque control of the motor by the inverter, which should be set according to the rated voltage of the motor. The torque type refers to whether the load is a constant torque load or a variable torque load. The user selects one of the types according to the V/f type diagram and load characteristics in the inverter instruction manual. The general inverter is equipped with a number of V/f curves for users to choose, and users should choose the appropriate V/f curves according to the nature of the load when using. In the case of fan and pump loads, the torque operation code of the inverter should be set to the variable torque and reduced torque operation characteristics. In order to improve the low-speed performance of the inverter when starting, so that the torque output of the motor can meet the requirements of production load starting, the starting torque should be adjusted. In the frequency conversion speed regulation system of asynchronous motor, the control of torque is more complicated. In the low frequency band, because the influence of resistance and leakage reactance cannot be ignored, if the V/f is still constant, the magnetic flux will be reduced, and the output torque of the motor will be reduced. For this reason, the voltage is appropriately compensated in the low frequency band to increase the torque. Generally, the inverter is manually set and compensated by the user.

3. Set the inverter to the built-in keyboard operation mode, press the run key and stop button, and observe whether the motor can start and stop normally.

4. Be familiar with the protection code when the inverter runs faulty, observe the factory value of the thermal protection relay, observe the setting value of overload protection, and modify it if necessary. The user of the inverter can set the electronic thermal relay function of the inverter according to the instruction manual of the inverter. The threshold value of an electronic thermal relay is defined as the ratio of the rated current of the motor and the inverter, which is usually expressed as a percentage. When the output current of the inverter exceeds its allowable current, the overcurrent protection of the inverter will cut off the output of the inverter. Therefore, the maximum threshold of the electronic thermal relay of the inverter does not exceed the maximum allowable output current of the inverter.

3. Test run with load

1. Manually operate the operation stop button of the inverter panel, observe the motor operation stop process and the display window of the inverter to see if there is any abnormal phenomenon.

2. If you start. When the inverter has an overcurrent protection action during stopping the motor, the acceleration and deceleration time should be reset. The acceleration of the motor during acceleration and deceleration depends on the acceleration torque, while the frequency change rate of the inverter during start-up and braking is set by the user. If the moment of inertia of the motor or the load of the motor changes, when the speed is increased or decelerated according to the preset frequency change rate, the acceleration torque may be insufficient, resulting in the motor stalling, that is, the motor speed is not coordinated with the output frequency of the inverter, resulting in overcurrent or overvoltage. Therefore, it is necessary to reasonably set the acceleration and deceleration time according to the moment of inertia and load of the motor, so that the frequency change rate of the inverter can be coordinated with the speed change rate of the motor. The method to check whether this setting is reasonable is to select the acceleration and deceleration time according to the experience, and if there is overcurrent during the start-up process, the acceleration time can be appropriately extended; If there is an overcurrent during braking, the deceleration time should be extended appropriately. On the other hand, the acceleration and deceleration time should not be set too long, and too long time will affect the production efficiency, especially when frequently starting and braking.

3. If the inverter is still protected within the limited time, the start/stop running curve should be changed from a straight line to an S-shaped, U-shaped line or an anti-S-shaped or anti-U-shaped line. When the load inertia of the motor is large, a longer start-stop time should be used, and the type of operating curve should be set according to its load characteristics.

4. If the inverter still has a running fault, you should try to increase the protection value of the high current, but the protection cannot be canceled, and there should be at least 10%-20% of the protection margin.

5. If the inverter operation failure still occurs, the inverter with a higher power should be replaced.

6. If the inverter drives the motor and does not reach the preset speed during the start-up process, there may be two situations:

(1) Electromechanical resonance occurs in the system, which can be judged from the sound of the motor running. By setting the frequency jump value, you can avoid the resonance point. Generally, the inverter can set a three-level jump point. When the V/f controlled inverter drives the asynchronous motor, in some frequency segments, the current and speed of the motor will oscillate, and the system cannot run in serious cases, and even the overcurrent protection in the acceleration process makes the motor unable to start normally, which is more serious when the motor is light or the moment of inertia is small. Ordinary inverters are equipped with frequency hopping function, and users can set the hopping point and hopping width on the V/f curve according to the frequency point of the system oscillation. When the motor accelerates, these frequency bands can be automatically skipped, ensuring that the system can operate normally.

(2) The torque output capacity of the motor is insufficient, the factory parameter settings of different brands of inverters are different, and the load capacity of the motor is different under the same conditions, and the load capacity of the motor may be different due to the different control methods of the inverter; Or due to the different output efficiency of the system, the load capacity will be different. In this case, the value of the torque lift can be increased. If it can't be reached, you can use the manual torque boost function, don't set it too much, the temperature rise of the motor will increase at this time. If it still does not work, a new control method should be used, such as Hitachi inverter using a constant V/f ratio method, when the start does not meet the requirements, switch to the speed sensorless space vector control method, which has a greater torque output capacity. For fan and pump loads, the curve value of the torque reduction should be reduced.

Fourth, the inverter is connected to the host computer for system debugging

After the basic manual setting is completed, if there is a host computer in the system, the control line of the inverter is directly connected to the control line of the host computer, and the operation mode of the inverter is changed to terminal control. According to the needs of the host computer system, adjust the range of 0-5V or 0-10V of the frequency converter receiving frequency signal terminal, and the response speed of the frequency converter to the analog frequency signal sampling. If an additional monitoring header is required, select the monitoring quantity of the analog output and adjust the range of the inverter's output monitoring terminal.
