daily life
There are many applications of travel switches, and it is found in many electrical appliances. So what does such a simple switch do? It mainly plays the role of chain protection. The most common example is its use in washing machines and tape recorders (VCRs).
In the process of dehydration (spinning) of the washing machine, the speed is very high, if someone opens the door or cover of the washing machine due to negligence at this time, and then puts the hand into it, it is easy to cause injury to people, in order to avoid the occurrence of this accident, an electric contact is installed on the door or cover of the washing machine, once someone opens the door or cover of the washing machine, the motor is automatically powered off, and even the mechanical method is linked, so that the door or cover is opened immediately "brake", and the rotating parts are forced to stop, so as not to injure people.
In tape recorders and video recorders, we often use fast forward or rewind, where the tape rotates rapidly, but automatically stops when it reaches the end point of the tape. Here again, the travel switch came into play, but this time it was not caused by a collision but by a sudden increase in the tension of the tape.
industry
The travel switch is mainly used to convert the mechanical displacement into an electrical signal, so that the operating state of the motor can be changed, so as to control the mechanical action or be used as a program control.
The real use of the travel switch is in industry, where it works with other equipment to form more complex automation equipment.
There are many such travel switches on machine tools, which are used to control the movement of the workpiece or the stroke of the automatic feed to avoid collisions. Sometimes the travel switch is used to make the controlled object automatically reversing between the two specified positions, so as to obtain continuous reciprocating motion. For example, when the trolley of automatic material transportation reaches the end point and touches the travel switch, and the overturning mechanism is connected, the material in the car is overturned and returned to the starting point. After arriving at the starting point, it touches the travel switch of the starting point, turns on the circuit of the charging mechanism, and starts automatic loading. If it goes on like this, it becomes a set of automatic production lines, which do not need to be managed, and work day and night, saving people's physical labor.

Siemens APT Relays – How to Choose the Right Power Relay
1. Measure the resistance of the contact
Use the resistance level of the universal meter to measure the resistance of the normally closed contact and the moving point, and its resistance value should be 0, (the contact resistance value can be measured in a more accurate way within 100 milliohms); The resistance between the normally open contact and the moving point is infinite. From this, it can be distinguished which is a normally closed contact ...

Siemens APT current transformer - how to see the multiple of the current transformer
1. Most of the multiple values can be seen from the nameplate attached to the instrument, which will show the style of the value/value, which can be known by dividing the previous value by dividing the back value when calculating the standard core-piercing turns. If the actual number of turns of the grommet does not conform to the standard, then the multiple should be ...
