The new relay refers to the electromagnetic relay developed and produced in order to meet the new special requirements and meet the use of special environmental conditions, its main characteristics are small size, light weight, vibration resistance, shock resistance, load range from low level load to 5A, 28 V rated load, the product has reliability index (failure rate) requirements, the product adopts resistance fusion welding or laser fusion welding sealing hermetic sealing structure, mainly used in electronic control equipment signal transmission and weak power switching.

New electromagnetic relays include: non-magnetic latching relays and magnetic latching relays. Non-magnetic latching relay is a kind of monostable relay, the relay coil under the action of the specified voltage excitation, its contact output state changes, but after the coil excitation is revoked, the contact output state is restored to the initial state. The magnetic latching relay is a kind of bistable relay, which is divided into single-coil structure and double-coil structure, and the coil excitation is an electrical pulse mode. For single-coil structure relays, when the contact output state of the coil changes under the action of the specified voltage excitation, and the coil excitation is revoked, the contact can maintain the existing state, and to change the contact output state, a specified reverse voltage excitation amount needs to be added to the coil. For the double-coil structure relay, when the contact output state of the first coil changes under the action of the specified voltage excitation, and the contact can maintain the existing state after the coil excitation is revoked, and the specified voltage excitation amount is required to add the specified voltage excitation amount to the second coil to change the contact output state.

Due to the special performance of the new relay, its detection methods and testing requirements are also different from the detection of conventional relays. The main contents of the test include electrical parameter testing, electrical performance index testing, mechanical performance index testing and physical performance index testing.
