Classified according to the working principle or structural characteristics of relays:
1) Electromagnetic relay: an electrical relay that works by using the suction force generated by the current in the input circuit between the electromagnet core and the armature.
2) Solid relay: refers to a kind of relay in which electronic components perform their functions without mechanical motion components, and the input and output are isolated.
3) Temperature relay: A relay that acts when the outside temperature reaches a given value.
4) Reed relay: A relay that uses the reed action sealed in the tube and has the dual role of electric shock reed and armature magnetic circuit to open, close or convert the line.
5) Time relay: When the input signal is added or removed, the output part needs to be delayed or limited to the specified time before closing or disconnecting the controlled line relay.
6) High-frequency relay: a relay that is used to switch high-frequency, RF lines with minimal loss.
7) Polarization relay: A relay that operates by the combined effect of a polarized magnetic field and a magnetic field generated by a control current through a control coil. The direction of action of the relay depends on the direction of the current flowing through the control coil.
8) Other types of relays: such as photorelays, acoustic relays, thermal relays, instrumentation relays, Hall effect relays, differential relays, etc.
2. Classification according to the dimensions of the relay:
1) Miniature relay: the longest side of the relay is not more than 10 mm.

3) Small miniature relay: the longest side of the relay is greater than 25 mm, but not more than 50 mm.
Note: For sealed or enclosed relays, the overall dimensions are the maximum dimensions of the relay body in three mutually perpendicular directions, excluding the dimensions of mounting, pinch, ribs, crimping, flanging, and sealing solder joints.
3. According to the load of the relay, it is divided into:
1) Micro-power relay: when the contact open circuit voltage is DC 28V, (resistivity) is 0.1A, 0.2A relay.
2) Weak power relay: when the open circuit voltage of the contact is DC 28V, (resistivity) is 0. A, 1A relay.
3) Medium power relay: when the open circuit voltage of the contact is DC 28V, the (resistive) is 2A, 5A relay.
4) High-power relay: when the open circuit voltage of the contact is DC 28V, the (resistivity) is 10A, 15A, 20A, 25A, 40A...... relays.
4. Classification according to the protection characteristics of relays:
1) Sealed relay: The relay with low leakage rate is used to seal the contacts and coils in the cover by welding or other methods, and isolate them from the surrounding medium.
2) Enclosed relay: A relay that is protected by sealing (not sealing) contacts and coils with a housing.
3) Open relay: A relay that does not use a protective cover to protect electric shocks and coils, etc.
The most commonly used relays in electronic production are electromagnetic relays and reed relays.

What are the main problems with Siemens APT Relays – Solid State Relays?
When the solid state relay is open and there is voltage at the load end, there will be a certain leakage current at the output end, and care should be taken to prevent electric shock when using or designing. When the solid-state relay fails to be replaced, the original model or the product with the same technical parameters should be selected as far as possible, so as to match the original application line and ensure that the system ...
