As the lifeline system of the city, once an accident occurs, it often has a chain reaction, and even causes severe disasters and losses. Therefore, the safety of the pipe gallery is the top priority, and then the inspection of the induction pipe gallery puts forward high requirements. In order to deal with a series of problems caused by manual inspection, intelligent pipe gallery inspection robots can be used more widely, and among them, Weidmüller also provides a series of reliable electrical connection and communication processing plans for inspection robots.
In the pipe gallery that is several kilometers or even tens of kilometers long, how to supply power to the mobile robot and process and transmit the collected data signals in a timely manner is very critical. Therefore, charging stations and signal interaction points are often required to be set up at intervals in the pipe gallery to ensure the normal operation and long-distance monitoring of the inspection robot.
In these distributed site applications, Weidmüller offers robust power supplies, signal terminal connections and relay output schemes for various electrical enclosures, including SAKDU terminals, ZDLD terminals, DRI center relays, PRO ECO power supplies and PRO MAX industrial switching power supplies. Taking SAKDU clamping frame terminal blocks as an example, the classic clamping frame wiring products provide high electrical safety and connection reliability for the entire inspection robot system.
The Weidmüller SAKDU series terminal blocks are made of modified PA66 material, with a V0 flame retardant rating and a maximum operating temperature of 120 degrees, the classic clamping frame wiring skills ensure a reliable connection and a high compression force, together with the copper conductive sheet ensures a very low voltage drop, and the copper surface tin plating ensures a low touch impedance. The overall size of the product has also been reduced without compromising the relevant electrical specifications, so that the product can be used in a more compact space – outstanding product characteristics that are ideal for the harsh environments and low protection requirements of underground pipe galleries.
As an important component for signal control, the selected Weidmüller DRI center relay is a compact design, which provides a compact and reliable signal control and load switching plan between the controller and the field, which is convenient for installation and protection in the limited space of the local control box in the pipe gallery. In practice, the DRI relay's reinforced pins prevent the risk of twisting and turning during installation and disassembly, and its clear and easy-to-understand product labeling and color-coded test buttons reduce the possibility of errors and reduce the cost of the device.
The intelligent inspection robot system of the pipe gallery completes the control of the front-end inspection robot by the long-distance monitoring platform through wireless network transmission skills. In the induction pipe gallery, wireless nodes are set up at intervals, and then the seamless masking of the wireless network in the induction pipe gallery is completed, and the monitoring information of the inspection robot is wirelessly transmitted to the ground network, and further connected to the backbone network through the Weidmüller IES 5-port 100 Gigabit switch, and the real-time video information and various detection data are transmitted to the long-distance monitoring center.
