OMNIMATE 4.0 COMBINES SNAP IN'S QUICK CONNECTION TECHNOLOGY, MODULARITY, AND EASY INTEGRATION OF MULTIPLE INTERFACES WITH THE ABILITY TO PLAN PRODUCTS, ALLOWING CUSTOMIZED PRODUCTS TO BE DELIVERED WITHIN A WEEK.
The product plan, consisting of individual chip-like basic components, offers users a wide range of combinations, e.g. for power, signal and data transmission with a single connector. Thanks to the SNAP IN connection technology, it is also possible to connect flexible thin conductors directly without crimping the tube ends. The connection point is ready to be wired when the product is handed over, so that the safe wiring can be completed in a very short time. This enables the OMNIMATE 4.0 to meet the needs of industrial and automated wiring that can be wired by robots. The corresponding sockets are available in executive pin accuracy and automation-compatible packages for wave soldering and reflow soldering processes.
From power to Ethernet – just one connector
The OMNIMATE 4.0 PCB connector product line for power and signal transmission is fully certified for IEC 61984 and UL 1059 for industrial use. Similarly, a stand-alone module for data transmission over Single Pair Ethernet in accordance with IEC 63171-2 is integrated. This means that a hybrid combination of fast SNAP IN connection and future-proof SPE data transmission can be implemented as required, e.g. for motor connections.
Tailor-made to simplify engineering planning
OMNIMATE 4.0 PROVIDES A DIGITAL WAY TO EQUIP PRODUCTS, ALLOWING FOR THE RAPID CREATION OF CO-CUSTOMIZED PRODUCTS FROM MANY POSSIBLE COMBINATIONS. This can be done in two ways: On the one hand, it is part of the free downloadable Weidmüller WMC software, which promises to create equipment based on more than 12,000 Weidmüller products. In addition, the OMNIMATE 4.0 connector can be equipped online via the new easyConnect service route. The online version is fully functional, allowing users to quickly and easily configure the system without the need to download or install it. The modules have been individually equipped in accordance with IEC 61984 and UL 1059. Depending on the requirements, the requirements for feature printing and colorful printing can be entered in the equipping path. Further engineering data related to the planning requirements can be downloaded immediately. In this way, technical data, drawings and 3D models, and PCB routing data (EDA data) can be used to support and accelerate development activities. In addition to quick and easy digital planning, WMC software simplifies product acquisition. For example, users can choose to ask for a quote alone or book a free product sample through the 72-hour sample service. For bulk orders, it is also possible to direct the requested products to the Weidmüller webshop, from where they can be ordered.
In addition to the digital equipping path of OMNIMATE 4.0, the Weidmüller OMNIMATE service further supports every step of the development of the system. From obtaining information with the assistance of technical white papers, to introductions to specific products in the AppGuide user guide, to how-to videos that can be visited directly through the QR code scan on the product.
