SNAP IN was unanimously recognized by the Germany Design Council, followed by an independent jury awarding the Weidmüller Germany Innovation Award 2022 in recognition of its innovative SNAP IN connectivity skills. The Germany Innovation Award awards products and solutions from various industries that differ from previous solutions in that they are more user-friendly and create added value. With the SNAP IN connection skill, you can quickly complete the installation and protection work with a snap of your fingers. The connection system of Klippon® Connect terminal blocks, RockStar® heavy-duty connectors and OMNIMATE® 4.0 connectors features a preloaded tension spring that makes it easy to insert stripped conductors into the clamping point without the need for additional conductor preparation. After a loud "click", the wire is clamped. The unwinding operation is also very fast, with the push of a button or handle, the wire can be easily and quickly released and the clamping point is reset again.

Weidmüller has expanded its comprehensive Klippon® Connect terminal block offering with the new SNAP IN connection skills that are fast, simple and safe. Klippon® Connect terminal blocks with SNAP IN connection skills revolutionize the wiring of control cabinets with their intuitive and simple operation. The pre-loaded clamping points allow for tool-free wiring directly with hard and flexible conductors, with or without crimping tube ends. Reduced wire preparation and shorter wiring times make the device process more efficient. The open clamping points used in the "Ready-to-Connect" AS series are also suitable for direct wiring of robots.
During the development of the AS series, Weidmüller focused on conductors with a cross-section of 2.5 mm2 or less. This area has a high application rate and can take full advantage of the advantages of SNAP IN skills in wiring.
