The use of robots in production means the pursuit of high power and high welding quality, so all robot manufacturers are seeking to break in the welding speed, and the high precision of the robot in the track control is a reliable guarantee for high-speed welding.

(2) Double-machine harmonious welding function

Sometimes we will encounter a long workpiece, the welds are scattered at both ends of the workpiece, if one robot is selected for welding, it will be inconsistent due to the two ends not being welded together and the welding deformation will be formed, so that the workpiece will be torsionally deformed in the length direction, and the welded workpiece is difficult to meet the size requirements. For this type of workpiece, we often choose the method of harmonious welding of two robots together, which promotes the harmonious welding skills of two robots. This skill is often used in the welding of rear axles and mufflers in cars.

Two robots correspond to a positioner driven by the external axis of the robot, and there are two mirror-symmetrical parts on the workpiece placed along the length of the positioner, and two similar girth welds require the two robots to achieve synchronous and harmonious welding together while the positioner rotates together, and the power produced by welding can be improved by 1 times in this method.

(3) Advantages of spot welding robots

If the application of arc welding robot has greatly improved the stability of welding quality and welding power, spot welding robot has more advantages, and the economic benefits brought by it are more and more considerable, which is mainly reflected in:

a. When the robot spot welds, most of the clamps and transformer integration method are selected, and the capacity of the transformer can be reduced to 1/3-1/4, which saves energy and greatly reduces the heavy physical labor of the operator.

b. The spot welding robot has more control methods to control the automatic switching of welding tong pressure and welding conditions, and can easily realize the common welding sequence for different dotting directions, which greatly improves the dotting quality and avoids problems such as missing solder joints, multiple punches and inaccurate orientation.

c. The spot welding robot has a significant advantage in dotting power, which can improve the power by 8-10 times. We have a customer, the equipment is temporarily problematic, because of its tight schedule, they temporarily choose the technology to spot weld the same workpiece, the result of 4 technical welding tongs in two shifts can only produce 40 pieces, and the robot normal production, in a shift can complete about 90 pieces.

d. The spot welding robot can use some unique skills of the robot to further accurately control the welding sequence, so that the welding power and welding quality can be further improved. For example, the application of electric welding tongs in the robot is not only a change in the pressurization method, but also its advantages are reflected in the robot's control of its stroke: (1) it can achieve the ideal stroke according to the orientation of the solder joint; (2) During the welding process, the pressure of the welding tong can be controlled in sections; (3) Able to manipulate the time node of welding condition output; (4) The gap teaching function can be used to sensitively select the upper electrode teaching and lower electrode teaching methods, which greatly shortens the teaching time.
