Simple fundamental characteristics and classification of miniature sensors

(1) As far as a single sensor is concerned, a miniature sensor refers to a small sensor from micrometer to millimeter and even nanometer, mainly using precision machining, microelectronics and microelectromechanical system skills to reduce the size of the sensor.

(2) In terms of integrated sensors, miniature sensors refer to integrated sensors composed of small sensitive elements, signal processors and data processing devices packed on a chip.

(3) As far as the sensor system is concerned, the micro sensor refers to the sensor system that not only contains micro sensors, but also micro actuators, which can work independently, or even be composed of multiple micro sensors, or can realize remote networks.

According to the physical properties of the measurement, the miniature sensors are divided into chemical miniature sensors, biological miniature sensors, physical miniature sensors, etc., and various typical miniature sensors are briefly introduced:

(1) Ion sensor - chemical type.

An ion sensor is a sensor that converts the activity of ions in a solution into an electrical signal. The basic principle is to selectively combine the sensing ions with ion identification data fixed on a sensitive membrane to change the membrane potential or membrane voltage to achieve the purpose of detection. Ion sensitors are widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, bioengineering and other occupations.

(2) Gene sensor biotype.

GENE SENSORS FORM DOUBLE-STRANDED DNA (DSDNA) BY COMBINING A SINGLE-STRANDED DEOXYRIBONUCLEIC ACID MOLECULE WITH ANOTHER COMPLEMENTARY TARGET DNA, AND BY DISSECTING THESE ECHO SIGNALS, THE CHANGES IN THE HYBRIDIZATION PROCESS OR RESULT ARE CONVERTED INTO ELECTRICAL, OPTICAL, AND OTHER PHYSICAL SIGNALS. DNA sensors are also known as gene sensors.

(3) SAW sensor physical type.

SAW sensors are SAW skills and MEMS skills that convert various non-power information such as pressure, temperature, flow, magnetic field strength, acceleration, and angular velocity into changes in SAW vibration frequency.
