(1) Failure of peripheral circuit components

This kind of failure is relatively common in PLC maintenance and usually occurs frequently after a certain period of work. If there is a component damage fault in the PLC control loop, the PLC control system will stop working immediately and automatically.

The input circuit is the port for the PLC to receive input signals such as switching and analog, and the quality, wiring mode and reliability of its components are also important factors affecting the reliability of the control system.

For switching output, there are three forms of PLC output: relay output, thyristor output, and transistor output. The specific choice of output form depends on the load requirements, and improper selection will reduce the reliability of the system.

When it is low, the system will not work properly.

In addition, the load capacity of the PLC output is limited. If the specified maximum limit is exceeded, an external relay or contactor must be connected for proper operation.

The quality of actuators such as external relays, contactors, and solenoid valves is an important factor affecting the reliability of the system. Common faults include short circuits in the coils, mechanical failures that result in immobile contacts or poor contact.

(2) Poor terminal wiring contact

This kind of failure occurs after the PLC has been working for a certain period of time, with the increase of the frequency of equipment action. Vibration in use and increased mechanical life due to wiring defects in the control cabinet,

Terminals or component terminals tend to loosen, resulting in poor contact.

The way to troubleshoot this type of fault is to diagnose and repair the fault with a multimeter with the help of a control system schematic diagram or PLC logic ladder diagram.

For the connection of some important peripheral terminals, in order to ensure the reliable connection, the method of cold-pressed parts or cold-pressed pins is generally used.

(3) Functional failure caused by Omron PLC interference

The various types of programmable controllers used in automation systems are control devices that are specifically designed for industrial production environments. In the design and manufacturing process, multi-level anti-interference and component selection measures are adopted, which has strong ability to adapt to harsh industrial environments, stable operation and high reliability. As a result, it can be used directly in industrial settings without any special measures.

The interference of PLC can be divided into internal interference and external interference. In the actual production environment, external interference is random and has nothing to do with the system structure, and the interference source cannot be eliminated, but can only be limited according to the specific situation. Internal interference is related to the structure of the system. It is mainly caused by the main AC circuit and the analog input signal in the system, and the internal interference can be suppressed to the greatest extent by carefully designing the system circuit or filtering the system software.
