The sensor should be installed in a place with good ventilation and heat dissipation as much as possible, so as not to affect the measurement accuracy and life of the sensor due to excessive temperature.
2. Altitude
Usually the sensor is designed with altitude in mind, and the general condition is 2000 meters. However, it is not only suitable for the altitude below 2000 meters, if the altitude exceeds 2000 meters in actual use, it will affect the heat dissipation and insulation performance of the sensor. It will reduce the insulation characteristics, although the insulation can also be improved by external methods, but it is difficult to achieve and will increase the cost, in the actual selection and use is to refer to the rules of the 1EC60664-1 specification to reduce the derating use, please refer to IE°C60664-1 Section 5.1.4, Table VIII.2 for derating coefficients. 3. Device orientation
Because the sensor is a non-contact measurement, most of the sensors detect the magnetic field around the live conductor, so there should not be a strong magnetic field near the sensor, and the equipment that simply generates the magnetic field. It includes transformers, reactors, and conductors that flow high currents, etc. Especially in three-phase testing, adjacent sensors should not be installed too closely.
