Siemens APT current transformer - precautions for the use of current transformer

Create Date: 2024-8-30 12:03:23|Source: APT/Siemens Shanghai Ergong

1. The wiring of the current transformer should not present problems, otherwise it will lead to failure to operate normally, and there may be damage to the transformer. In this case, the primary winding needs to be connected in series with the measurement circuit, and the secondary winding needs to be connected in series with all the loads.

2. Estimate the current in the circuit to be measured, and then select the appropriate change according to its size, so that the measurement error can be controlled within a small range. In addition, one end of the secondary winding resistance needs to be grounded to prevent the loosening of the anti-insulation, which poses unnecessary danger to the equipment and individuals.

3. In the process of carrying out the secondary side, it is not possible to present an open circuit, otherwise simply let the current on one side be converted into magnetized current, resulting in excessive fullness of the iron core, and then showing a heating situation, burning out the coil, resulting in the inability to use normally in the later stage. And even if the coil is not burned, it will cause excessive data error.

4. Special attention should be paid to the installation area of the current transformer. If there are two sets of current transformers in the room, as long as the installation orientation is possible, try to install them at both ends of the circuit breaker, so that the circuit breaker can be protected in two layers and be safer.
