Based on the information collected by cameras and radars, it is possible to detect white lines on the road, obstacles, and vehicles in front. If the distance between the vehicle in front of you is smaller, the accelerator will be relaxed, and if the vehicle is closer, the brakes will be braked. These operations can be performed by the system instead of the driver. In other words, advanced driver assistance systems play the role of replacing the human eye and the human brain, and in reality, there are various changes such as driving at night, driving in rain, and driving in fog, and it is necessary to accurately detect the target under such harsh conditions.

There are many types of sensing devices, but Japan Denco Elecis chose to combine millimeter-wave radar and cameras. Unlike ordinary radars, millimeter-wave radars have strong resistance to rain, snow, and fog, but they are easily affected by substances that cover the openings of the radar, so horn antennas are used to improve the sensitivity of sending and receiving signals. Software for detection algorithms is also installed on the radar backend, which makes it possible to strictly distinguish between multiple targets.
