GAC Aion New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. launched its all-new electric vehicle "Aion Y" (*1) in March 2021 using the Ni100Ex (100kW) of Japan's (Nidec) E-Axle drive motor system.

GAC Aion, formerly known as GAC New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd., was established in 2017 and is a brand of GAC Group that specializes in electric sedans. In December 2018, the company built a new electric vehicle plant with an annual production capacity of 200,000 units, and is actively investing in it. (Changed to current company name in November 2020)

The new Aion Y, an electric sedan launched in March 2021, is the fourth model in the company's Aion series, which uses an all-aluminum pure electric platform developed by the company, as well as a 5G intelligent cockpit system, an active parking system, and a variety of new technologies such as ADiGO2.0, an active driving system from China High-Definition Map.

Japan Electco's (Nidec) Ni100Ex (maximum output 100kW, maximum system output torque: 2400Nm) is the second product in the E-Axle series, and mass production began in November 2020. The compact compact motor is our main product, and the structure of the thin, low-profile compact motor utilizes the know-how of magnetic circuit design established during the development of the compact compact motor, as well as a unique oil cooling structure that contains permanent magnets. In the Ni100Ex, the use of this thin, low-profile motor has been used to reduce the size of the vehicle, and the use of the second-generation inverter will greatly contribute to the improvement of the vehicle's power function, power consumption function, sound and vibration function, and the reduction of vehicle weight. This product is produced by Guangzhou Nidec Car Drive System Co., Ltd., a joint venture between GAC Parts Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Guangzhou Car Group, and Japan Denko, which was established in November 2019.

Japan Denco (Nidec)'s "E-Axle" is a unit system that integrates a motor, inverter, and reducer, and is characterized by its small size and light weight.
