Spindle speed detection
In order to prevent damage to wind turbines due to overspeeding, the rotational speed is detected using inductive sensors and evaluated by safety-related speed monitors. The IFS24X series of inductive sensors with M12 housing (M18 housing for the IGS24X series) is designed to operate reliably at temperatures as low as -40 °C and is CCV-compliant.
Final orientation of the rotor blades (with electrical pitch system)
Inductive sensors are used to detect the final orientation of the rotor blades of wind turbines. When the ifm sensor detects the guideline, a signal is sent to the pitch controller and the drive is stopped. The wheel hub is equipped with an inductive sensor such as IGS232. These sensors are ideally suited for this application, thanks to the range, solid planning, and suitability in cold climate zones.
Firmly distinguish between heating and cooling hoods
The annealing process in a bell annealing furnace consists of several stages. First, the heating hood (furnace) is lowered to the coil and annealed in a maintenance gas environment. After the regular annealing heating moment is completed, the heating hood is replaced by a cooling hood, and then the controlled cooling of the coil is carried out. Depending on the hood used, cooling water or maintenance gas is supplied to the annealing base.
In order to secure the area of the heating hood and the cooling hood, the guidelines are installed in different directions at the bottom of the hood. Two inductive sensors are used for detection. Depending on the hood used, one of the two sensors transmits the switching signal to the controller.
Globe valve orientation in the inlet
Manually operate the shut-off valve in the inlet of the high-pressure pump of the descaling unit. Inductive ifm sensors detect the rod bearing. If the shut-off valve is opened, the rod will dampen the sensor, which in turn will supply the switching signal. With the help of this switching signal, the pump can be activated. This prevents accidental activation of the high-pressure pump with the inlet closed, and maintenance of the pump to prevent dry running.
Lock the bearing
Inductive sensors such as the ifm IIS246 can be used to detect the locking orientation of the rotor lock. The ifm sensor detects when the locking position has been reached, announces the release signal to the controller, and then disengages the rotor part from the locking positionThe IIS inductive sensor with the M30 plan has a high degree of protection from IP 65 to IP 69K.
