On July 9, 2018, the grand Red Dot Awards ceremony was held at the Aalto Theater in Essen, Germany, and the prestigious "Red Dot Planning Award" 2018 was presented.

This year, participants from 59 countries submitted more than 6,300 innovative products to the Red Dot Planning Awards. Only high-quality plans that won the favor of the 39 experts of the jury were awarded.

The ifm DV1500 signal lamp stands out among these products and takes the crown.

Commonalities in planning

With the DV1500 signal light, the user can display the different states of the machine in five colors. These colors can be set via the user-friendly IO-Link software. The surface features and shape of the signal lights are optimally planned to prevent dust and liquid deposits and ensure long-term visibility of the signal lights.

Metal parts such as screws or connectors are not visible, making them ideal for use in the food industry and also for medical, pharmaceutical or chemical applications.

The 360-degree circular inner polygonal lens emits a highly efficient and intense light that is visible from any viewpoint. Impact-resistant shades filter ambient light and make signal lights stand out in a variety of colors. This traffic light embodies ifm's usual user-friendliness and innovative planning.

Equipped with LED RGB skills and flexible equipment

LED RGB lights are integrated with the three primary colors of red, green, and blue, and have the characteristics of flaunting red is red, green is green, and blue is blue. Its colors are clear and vivid, and even have the degree of high-quality TV, in the color mixing of light, it has more diverse characteristics.

In general, it is necessary to adapt the signal light to the use. Rather than the time-consuming task of combining several different color modules together, the new LED RGB technology allows the signal light to be adjusted as needed via IO-Link or the setting button (e.g. always-on, slow-flashing, fast-flashing, different colors, alarms, etc.). This reduces the variety and quantity of products in stock.

The installation is simple

Fixtures are supplied with the device. It is also possible to choose a version with a pedestal, through which the installation can be elevated. The base of the unit can be rotated 90 degrees, so that no additional accessories can be used for wall installation. In addition, the accessories of the column device can also be selected as you like.

Choose from a variety of varieties

The DV15xx signal light has a digital input and can be equipped via a setting button on the device. The DV25xx signal lights can be equipped and programmed via IO-Link without the need for a setup button.
