Space and wiring are very important in the control cabinet installation at all times. Weidmüller's Klippon Connect high-current terminal blocks help to save on both and at the same time ensure the safe and efficient distribution of power to the consumer. The Klippon Connect product range has been expanded to include new high-current terminal blocks for A2C 50/70 and A2C 95/120. They are capable of connecting single and multi-stranded wires with a maximum rated cross-section of 70 mm2 or 120 mm2. Other features include a voltage rating of 1000 V AC/1500 V DC and a current rating of 150 A (A2C 50/70) or 232 A (A2C 95/120).
As with the smaller cross-section, the new terminal blocks are equipped with an Push-in power connection with a joystick. This will enable the conductor connection to be completed in a matter of seconds. Simply insert the wire into the flip-open contact and brake the lever to create a long-term stable, gas-tight and vibration-resistant connection. When the lever is closed, the conductor can be inserted directly into the joint point without any tools.
The connection guarantees a high degree of flexibility in the wiring process while maintaining process reliability. This will save a lot of wiring time, especially when wiring is carried out on site in the factory, which is often carried out in unfortunate conditions.
Potential distribution is as simple as joining. Simply place the cross-coupling in the flip-out contacts and acknowledge it with the joystick. This establishes a strong contact, regardless of whether or not additional wires are included. The design of the cross-connectors makes them instantly recognizable, even when connecting wires. The orange collar protrudes clearly from the contacts without interfering with wiring.
Identical auxiliary connections with a cross-section of 50 mm2 to 185 mm2 enable a single voltage distribution point. For example, it can be used for emergency power supply before the power switch, as a signal point, or for circuits in surge protective devices. Other applications include supply protection sockets or control cabinet lighting. The auxiliary coupling is equipped with a joystick organization, which also allows for tool-free wiring of multiple strands. Another useful feature is the standardized test point with a diameter of 2.0 mm. Standardized accessories ensure trouble-free operation with all A-Series terminal blocks and offer a streamlined combination of accessories for quick and easy testing.
For a better overview, especially with a wide range of device options, large-scale symbol labels can be used to identify the applied voltage. Fixing the lightning symbol in the connection area of 35 mm2 - 185 mm2 also prevents wiring in a live state. This ensures the safety of man and machine.
With a wide range of terminal blocks and prefabricated modules as well as a wide range of device options, you can choose between three-, four- and five-pole terminal block versions – L1, L2, L3 or L1, L2, L3 and N, as well as L1, L2, L3, N and PE. The prefabricated power terminal blocks reduce the number of variants and storage costs, and they can be installed quickly and simply, snapping into the TS 35 terminal rail or screwing onto the device board via the integrated foot bracket.
With its convincing concept, the Klippon Connect high-current terminal blocks support the entire control cabinet installation process.
