In 2021, Weidmüller invested 56 million euros in research and development (around 6% of turnover). Most of the investment was invested in the construction of a new logistics center. Weidmüller is undergoing a logistics revolution through the new 72,000-square-metre logistics centre near Eisenach. The construction period of the center is 1.5 years and will be completed by the end of 2022. In line with Weidmüller's pioneering spirit, the logistics center is largely automated with state-of-the-art technology and equipment.
