A 3C electronics ODM manufacturer located in Jiaxing put forward a demand - try to apply collaborative robots to the existing production line to improve production efficiency. Different from the automotive industry, compared with "robot safety", users of 3C electronics companies put "beat" and "precision" in a more important position, believing that this is the key to the successful introduction of robots.
The automation rate of the customer's production line is relatively low, manpower intensive, there are many types of OEM products, and most of the product life cycles are relatively short. For this user, they are eager to reduce staff and increase efficiency through automation - so they finally chose shell laser carving, trying to replace manual labor with robots.
02 pain points
Each laser engraving machine is responsible for loading and unloading, and dozens of laser engraving equipment will fill the factory building. The work of the workers is repetitive, and the smell of the laser engraving machine in the factory is very strong; Because of iteration and different manufacturers, laser carving equipment also adopts different communication interfaces. How to deploy robots in a compact space to replace workers, and at the same time consider the feeding and discharging handling of different stations, which is almost impossible to achieve in the same space by adding fences to industrial robots; In addition, regular maintenance of laser carving and other equipment also requires sufficient space. Therefore, traditional industrial robots are obviously not suitable for this station, and lightweight collaborative robots are considered.
