Features of the electric drive of the Nazhi robot

Electric drive is the use of various motors to generate force and torque, directly or through mechanical transmission to drive the actuator, in order to obtain various movements of the robot. Because the process of central energy conversion is omitted, it is more efficient than hydraulic and pneumatic drives, and it is easy to use and low cost. Electric drives can be roughly divided into three categories: general motor drives, stepper motor drives, and linear motor drives.
Features of the electric drive of the Nazhi robot
  (a) Characteristics of general motor drives

General motors include AC motors, DC motors and servo motors. AC motors generally cannot be regulated or it is difficult to carry out stepless speed regulation, even if it is a multi-speed motor, it can only carry out limited stepless speed regulation. DC motors can achieve stepless speed regulation, but the price of DC power supply is high, so it limits its application in high-power robots.

(b) Features of stepper motor drives

The speed and displacement of the stepper motor drive can be controlled by the number of pulses declared by the electrical control system. Because the displacement of the stepper motor is strictly proportional to the number of pulses, the stepper is electrically charged

The machine drive can achieve high repeat positioning accuracy, however, the speed of the stepper motor can not be too high, and the control system is also more complicated.

(c) Features of linear motor drives

The linear motor structure is simple, the cost is low, its action speed and stroke mainly depend on the length of its stator and rotor, when the reverse braking, the positioning accuracy is low, it is necessary to add buffer and positioning mechanism.
