What is a teach pendant

The teach pendant is a hand-held device for manual operation, program writing, parameter equipment and monitoring of the robot. The teach pendant, also known as the teaching programmer (hereinafter referred to as the teaching pendant), is the core component of the robot control system, which is a device used to register and store mechanical movements or process memories, and the device is performed by the electronic system or computer system.

What are the buttons of the teach pendant?

Enable button

The enable button is designed to ensure the safety of the operator. The enable button is divided into two gears, and the robot will be in the motor on state when the first gear is pressed in the manual condition. As long as the enable button is pressed and the "motor is on" is maintained, the robot can be manually operated and the program can be debugged. When the second gear is pressed, the robot will be in a protective stop state. When a risk occurs (out of fright), the human instinctively releases or tightens the enable button, and in both cases, the robot stops immediately, ensuring the safety of people and equipment.

Teach pendant lever operation skills

We were able to compare the robot's lever to the accelerator of a car, and the fluctuation of the lever's wrench or rotation was related to the robot's speed.

If the fluctuation of the trigger or rotation is small, the robot will run slower.

If the fluctuation of the trigger or rotation is large, the robot will run at a higher speed.

Special tip: When manually operating the robot, try to operate the lever with as little fluctuation as possible, so that the robot can operate more controllly under slow speed.
