Breakers:

According to the analysis of the commonly used micro-break and molded case circuit breakers, the instantaneous action current of the molded case circuit breaker is 6-14In regardless of C and D curve (Schneider's is so and adjustable), the instantaneous action current of the micro-break C curve type is 5-10In, and the instantaneous action current of the D curve type is 10-14In, and the instantaneous current of the micro-break is generally a fixed additional voltage multiple regardless of whether it is C type or D type (the manufacturer produces it differently, and the fixed value is within the scale of 5-10In).
For a 15KW motor, the additional current is about 30A, and the starting current is 7 times the additional to select the circuit breaker, and the starting current is 210A. When starting, it is necessary to avoid the starting current of the motor, so the instantaneous action current of the micro-break and molded case circuit breaker should be greater than 420A.
If the instantaneous action current is 8In, then In=420/8=52.5A, so only 63A can be selected.
Micro-break D-curve type, molded case circuit breaker, the instantaneous action current is 12In (the molded case is adjustable), then In=420/12=35A, so only 40A can be selected.
Contactors:
When the contactor selects the parameters, it is generally 1.5-2 times of the additional current of the motor, (for details, please see the product statement, which will indicate how much capacity the contactor of a certain specification can carry the motor). 15KW motor can choose 50A contactor.
Thermal Relays:
Generally, the overload current of the thermal relay is adjustable, and the conditioning scale is 1-1.2 times of the additional current of the motor. The 15KW motor selects Schneider thermal relay LRD33, the scale is 23A-32A, and it can be adjusted to 30A, 31A, and 32A.
