Sensors are commonly used detection devices that convert perceived information into electrical signal outputs, and are used in a variety of applications. What are the types of output signals of sensors? Today, let's introduce the three common output signals of sensors, hoping to help you.

The characteristic of the incremental code signal is that the measured value is proportional to the number of periods of change of the output signal of the sensor, that is, the size of the output value is determined by the increment of the number of periods of signal change. Generally, when grating displacement sensors, magnetic grating displacement sensors, laser displacement sensors, etc. use interferometric methods to measure displacement, the signal output by the sensor is an incremental code signal.

A positive code signal is a signal that corresponds to the condition of the object being measured. Like a code disc, each of its angular orientations corresponds to a set of codes, which are called affirmative codes. The positive code signal has a strong ability to resist turbulence, and no matter what happens during the measurement process, after the disturbance, a condition always corresponds to a set of confirmed codes.

Switching signal: The switching signal has only two conditions, 0 and 1, which can be regarded as a special case when the positive code has only one bit of encoding. The output of sensors such as travel switches and photoelectric switches is the switching signal.

This is a way of classifying sensor signals. It's still helpful to understand this, although we always say that sensor signals are divided into analog and digital signals. But this is not the way to classify the real signal of the sensor, this is simply used to distinguish the signal of the sensor.
