(1) Observe whether the motor has abnormal noise and vibration. Especially when you hear a muffled heavy "buzzing" sound, it is likely to be running a single phase, and the power supply should be cut off immediately for processing, otherwise the motor will be burned out.
(2) By observing the ammeter and voltmeter, it can be found whether the motor is overloaded, whether the three-phase current is balanced, whether the power supply voltage is normal, etc., so as to find the problem and deal with it in time.
(3) Touch the motor shell and bearing with your hands to check whether there is overheating. If the palm of the hand can be pressed against the heating element for a long time, the temperature can be concluded to be below 60°C. If the hot palm cannot be touched, and you can barely stay for 1-1.5s with your fingers, you can conclude that the temperature has exceeded 80°C, and the motor may burn out if you continue to run it.
(4) Frequently check and clean the dust and debris on the motor casing and at the air inlet; Check whether the inside of the motor has been eroded by water, whether the tension of the transmission belt is appropriate, etc.
(5) Check the bearing and fill the grease in time, according to the different conditions of use, it should be dismantled and maintained once every six months to two years, clean the inside, fill the grease, and replace the bad parts.
(6) For wound motors and DC motors, the contact between brushes and slip rings and commutators, brush wear and sparks should be checked.
