Most inverter brand products can rely on the heat generation of internal electrical components to remove moisture during normal use. If you don't have to do it for a long time, it's easy to get wet. The chip pins, penetrating resistors, capacitors, and inductor pins of DIP packages will be severely rusted or desoldered, resulting in increased on-resistance or open circuits, and abnormal signal transmission; If the chip is pierced into the chip holder, the problem will be even more serious.
If the electrolytic capacitor is not charged for a long time, the electrolyte will dry up, resulting in a decrease in capacitance, which will affect the filtering effect and the time constant of the circuit, and may cause the operation of the variable-frequency drive (VFD) to be unstable.
VFD power electronic equipment operates under high voltage and high current, which has high insulation requirements. If not used for a long time, the industrial dust in the humid environment will reduce the insulation resistance between the pins of the power equipment, between the output terminals, and between the ground (or housing), which will directly lead to the damage of IGBTs and power MOSFETs.
The VFD has not been used for a long time now, and the load generally driven by it has not been operated for a long time, so when the VFD is reactivated, be sure to check the load first (usually a three-phase motor, measured with a 500V shake meter), and then clean the VFD. It is best to open the case, vacuum the dust, and blow off the moisture with a hot air blower (the temperature is adjusted to about 40 degrees).
Based on years of experience, semiconductor components (including integrated chips) can be used for 5 to 10 years.
If the VFD is not used for a long time, the internal electronic components may deteriorate and become damp. All of them will have a short service life.
VFDs should be kept in a dry and ventilated place when not necessary. Prevent moisture. Dust is also a major contributor to shortened lifespans.
In fact, the most important thing is to be affected by moisture and dust.
Under normal circumstances, five or six years should not be a big problem.

Application misunderstandings and drawbacks of inverter and countermeasures - Reynolds
Misunderstanding: connect electromagnetic switches and electromagnetic contactors in the output circuit of the inverter
In actual use, some occasions require the use of contactors for frequency converter switching: such as when the frequency conversion is faulty, switch to the power frequency operation, or when the one-to-two method is adopted, a motor is faulty, and the variable frequency is used.

Frequency characteristics of Reynolds frequency converters
a. Output frequency scale. The output frequency scale that can be controlled by the general inverter, the lowest starting frequency is generally 0.1Hz, and the highest frequency is different according to the functional indicators of the inverter, generally 400Hz, and some models are 650Hz. No matter how high the output frequency is, it depends on the scale of the high-frequency inverter.
