1. Conductor

It is the main component of the product to play its use function, and it is to transmit electricity or information, that is, to transmit electric current or electromagnetic waves on the conductor. The conductor is the basic and indispensable main component of the product for the transmission of electric current or electromagnetic wave information.

2. Insulation layer

It is an electrical insulating component that is wrapped around the periphery of the wire. That is, it can ensure that the transmitted current or electromagnetic wave and light wave only travel along the wire and do not flow outside, and the potential on the conductor (that is, the potential difference formed by the surrounding objects, that is, the voltage) can be isolated, that is, it is necessary to ensure the normal transmission function of the wire, and to ensure the safety of external objects and people. Conductors and insulation are the two basic components that must be possessed in industrial control cable products. As for the varieties that only have conductors and no insulation (such as steel-core aluminum stranded wires, catenary wires), in fact, it must rely on the combination of external insulation (distance to ground, spatial spacing and insulators) to become overhead wires. The names of these varieties are also slightly different, that is, they are called overhead "conductors", catenary "conductors", etc.

3. Filling structure

Many products are multi-core, after these insulated cores or wires are formed into cables (or grouped into cables for many times), one is that the shape is not round, and the other is that there is a large gap between the insulated cores, so the filling structure must be added when the cable is formed, and the filling structure is to make the outer diameter of the cable relatively round to facilitate the tape and squeeze the sheath.

4. Shielding

It is a component that isolates the electromagnetic field in the industrial control cable product from the external electromagnetic field, and some cable products also need to isolate each other between different pairs (or wire groups) inside them. It can be said that the shielding layer is a kind of "electromagnetic isolation ping", and in the cable industry, it is usually customary to use the shielding layer as part of the sheath structure.

5. a sheath

It is a component that protects the product as a whole, especially the insulation. Because the insulating material requires excellent electrical insulation performance, the purity of the material used is very high, and the impurity content is very small, which often cannot take into account its ability to protect the outside world. Therefore, for the external (i.e., installation, use occasions) of various mechanical forces to withstand or resist, to resist the atmospheric environment, to resist chemicals, to prevent biological or harmful diseases, and to reduce the hazards of fire and house must be borne by a variety of protective structures. Therefore, the sheath is a guarantee component for the long-term normal operation of industrial control cables under various external environmental conditions. If the industrial control cable is used in a good external environment, or its insulation material also has a certain mechanical and weather resistance, then there can be no sheath.
