Due to poor contact of network connectors, or due to disturbance and other problems, DP networks that have been used for a long time may show a "transient disconnection" situation, that is, occasionally disconnected instantaneously, and quickly recover to normal. If OB86 is not downloaded, the CPU will stop during a transient outage. Now it is common to download an empty OB86 to deal with the downtime caused by the intermittent break.
However, there is also a danger in doing so, if it is not a flash break, but a real network failure or a slave fault, if it is not down, it may cause catastrophic consequences. For this reason, the following methods can be used to determine whether it is a transient fault or a persistent slave fault.
1) In OB86, it is a question of which network and which slave is determined. In the case of an "incoming event" (problem presentation), the M bearing is assigned to the slave. If the problem of the slave is an "event of departure" (the problem disappears), reset the M-bit dedicated to the slave.
2) In OB1, start the 200ms punctuality with this M bit, and call SFC 46 (STP) when the punctuality time is up, causing the CPU to stop. If there is a transient break (the moment when M is 1 is less than 200ms), the punctuality of the timer will not be stopped.
3) Use one word to record the number of calls to OB86, and use the HMI to display the number of calls to OB86.
If the problem of intermittent disconnection is frequent, it is necessary to deal with the hardware, such as replacing the DP connector, dealing with grounding, shielding, equipotential connection, anti-disturbance, etc.
