Fisher EH Series valves are designed for high-pressure applications. These valve constructions incorporate proven technology for higher capability in flow profile and greater reliability in valve interior design.

Improved cage design - Drilled cages, which provide excellent strength and additional resistance to damaging vibrations, are standard. Special building materials are readily available.
Piping economics – The availability of extended end connections on EH valves can accommodate oversized piping arrangements while eliminating the need for piping cavities.
O-ring Seat Ring Gasket Construction – The O-ring construction is used for excellent closing performance at temperatures up to 232C (450F) and minimal seat ring installation torque. The o-ring construction is the standard construction for EHT valves. Flat seat ring gasket construction can be used for higher design temperatures and/or NACE constructions where no suitable o-ring material is available.
Increasing Pressure/Temperature Ratings - Steel EH and EHA valves with butt end connections have intermediate standard ratings. Through non-destructive testing, these valves can meet ASME Intermediate Special Ratings, allowing for higher pressure/temperature applications. The specific ratings are shown in Table 7.
Long spool life – Hardened materials for cages, plugs, cage guides, and other spool components are standard for all applications with excellent wear resistance. In all applications, the robust cage guidance improves the stability of the plug. The increased stability reduces vibration and other mechanical stresses, helping to extend the life of the trims.
Controlled Low Flow/Tight Closing - Micro or micro groove plugs provide superior range in high-pressure, low-flow applications. Choosing several restricted port diameters can help match the valve's capacity to the desired flow rate, help provide the necessary control at full stroke, and help prevent throttling near the seat.
High Temperature, Class V Closure - The use of a metal c-seal allows Class V shut-off temperatures up to 593C (1100F) for 4-3/8" ports on CL2500 rated valves and 5-3/8" ports on CL1500 rated valves. The metal hole seal will allow Class V to close ports up to 593C (1100F) 5-3/8" and larger.
Superior Stem Tightness - High-tightness packing systems provide superior tightness to preserve valuable or hazardous process fluids and prevent hazardous or contaminating fluids from being discharged into the atmosphere. The system is characterized by graphite packaging materials and heavy live loads.
High Capacity - In the design of the fluid channel, the principles of pneumatics and hydrodynamics were carefully considered, and the result was 30 to 40 percent higher capacity than a conventional valve with the same bore and stroke.
