Shanghai, China, July 5, 2021 – Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) today announced that it has entered into a partnership with Shanghai Baohydrogen Gas Industry Co., Ltd. ("Shanghai Baohydro"), a subsidiary of China Baowu Steel Group ("Baowu Group"), to provide Shanghai Baohydrogen with advanced hydrogen purification technology and overall solutions, jointly promote the production and development of hydrogen energy in the Chinese market, promote energy conservation and emission reduction in the steel industry, and help achieve the "dual carbon" goal.
Honeywell UOP will provide a set of high-purity hydrogen production stations with a capacity of 6,000 standard cubic meters per hour for Shanghai Baohydro, of which hydrogen products will be used in Baowu Group's non-oriented silicon steel production line and hydrogen fuel vehicle hydrogen refueling stations. At present, the project has officially started and is scheduled to be put into operation in 2022. Honeywell UOP's hydrogen purification technology and total solutions enable targeted hydrogen recovery and high-purity products with a safe and environmentally friendly entire production process.
