In order to ensure that the APCUPS power supply can continue to supply high-quality power to the computer even in the event of a power outage, it is important to equip the battery backup battery. When the load is not allowed to be powered, the UPS battery backup time in the communication room should be greater than the time from the mains power interruption to rehabilitation or to the time required for the normal power supply of the generator set (the front power supply system is equipped with a generator set), if this period is longer, it should be equipped with an external long-delay battery pack, but at this moment it should be admitted that the UPS internal rectifier can be charged with an external large-capacity battery pack, otherwise an external charger should be equipped.

                               How Schneider UPS properly configures the backup battery

The battery capacity should be selected in accordance with the principle that it is necessary for the battery to supply power to the inverter during the backup time, and the battery pack voltage should not drop below the minimum voltage allowed by the inverter at the rated load. When arranging the equipment in the computer room, the battery pack should be as close to the APCUPS host as possible, shorten the connection length of the two, and increase the cross-sectional area of the connection, so as to reduce the self-inductance of the connection and the voltage drop of the line.

The battery pack can be installed in the battery cabinet or in an open battery rack, the former is beautiful. It is neat, but it has higher requirements for the bearing of the floor slab, the latter can disperse the load-bearing, and the heat dissipation is good, but it covers a lot of land and is easy to accumulate dust, which brings inconvenience to maintenance.
