The WorldSkills Competition is known as the "WorldSkills Olympiad", and its competitive level represents the world's advanced level of vocational skills development. Recently, all 62 events of the 2022 WorldSkills Competition Special Competition have come to an end. The Chinese delegation won a total of 21 gold medals, 3 silver medals, 4 bronze medals and 5 winning awards in 34 events, ranking first in the gold medal list, and the total number of gold medals set a new record in the history of a single competition.

In the electrical installation competition, ABB Electric helped the Chinese delegation win the championship of the project for a second time. The leader of the expert group of the Chinese team in this competition is Wang Dajiang, a technical expert from ABB's smart building and smart power technology promotion team, who participated in the refereeing and calmly commanded on the spot, and Yu Shouan, the gold medalist, is from Yancheng Technician College in Jiangsu Province.
ABB Electric's Wang Dajiang helped the Chinese team in the 2022 WorldSkills Competition Special Competition to win the championship of the electrical installation project for a second time
The electrical installation project in the competition is a competition project in which the contestants complete the installation of distribution boxes, switches, cables, trunkings, and bridges in commercial or domestic electrical installations of specific designs through the application of traditional and current emerging technologies, as well as the circuit design, installation, programming and debugging of commercial or household intelligent control systems (such as KNX, etc.).

The electrical installation project adopts the KNX intelligent building control system, which completes the lighting, scene and temperature control of the intelligent building through the operation of the intelligent panel. Contestants need to design the power distribution system, control the circuits, and program them according to the functional requirements of the competition. At the competition site, Wang Dajiang, an electrical expert from ABB as the head coach, formulated a practical competition plan for the contestants according to the corresponding changes in the competition topics, ensuring the stable performance of the contestants and the success of the gold rush.

ABB Electric has a wide range of residential building application solutions, covering the secondary and tertiary power distribution fields of low-voltage power distribution solutions. Among them, the low-voltage power box scheme and the star delta control scheme in the secondary power distribution scheme provide problem-solving ideas and strong technical support for the power distribution system and control system scheme of the Chinese team in this competition.

A total of 24 countries and regions participated in the seven competition projects hosted by Austria in this special competition of the WorldSkills Competition, and the electrical installation project was extremely competitive. Especially compared with the previous WorldSkills competitions, this special competition has adjusted a number of competition rules, which has increased many uncertainties at the competition site.

In the face of various unfavorable factors, Wang Dajiang, a technical expert of ABB, and the expert group repeatedly deduced, carefully formulated the competition plan, and adjusted the training plan in the sprint stage, which effectively improved the ability of the players to cope with various challenges in the field. During the competition, the Chinese team responded calmly and won the championship with the highest score with high-quality craftsmanship, exquisite details and Chinese speed.

As a global technology leader in the field of electrical and automation, ABB Electric has been actively carrying out school-enterprise cooperation since 2010, using emerging technologies to create on-campus electrical digital training scenarios, opening up the three functions of practical application, practical training and teaching, and scientific research and innovation, so as to cultivate interdisciplinary skilled talents in electrical and digital, forge China's "ingenuity power", and lay a solid talent foundation for China's high-quality and sustainable development.

At the 45th WorldSkills Competition held in 2019, competitors from 40 countries and regions competed in the electrical installation category. Wang Dajiang, a technical expert at ABB, served as the head coach of the Chinese team in the electrical installation project of the WorldSkills Competition, participated in the refereeing and on-site command, and led the Chinese players to win the world championship.
