Contacts are one of the items that often replace welding materials. During this time, the contact fixes the direction of the wire, and since the instantaneous current that moves when the arc is closed after welding is too simple to melt the contact outlet, it must have a role. The wires and contacts have been welded together and can no longer perform the welding operation. The information and technology of the contact point determine its service life.
Most of the contacts are brass, copper, chrome copper and rarely beryllium copper. Among them, copper is generally used for process welding. The information of chromium copper separation is better and more economical than copper. This is a common method used in robot welding. In addition to not being able to weld the contacts and wires together, there is another time-consuming problem, namely that the hole diameter is much larger than the wire, and the azimuth of the wire cannot be fixed. Technical welding can still perform some operations, but because the robot welds according to the modified process, the hole diameter will be large, welding errors will occur, and the molded product will not be straight. Therefore, once the contacts are too large, they need to be replaced. In general, for small currents below 150A, it is recommended to replace contacts every 48 hours, and for large currents above 180A, it is recommended to replace contacts every 12 hours. Of course, this depends on the diameter of the punch.
