1. Avoid strong light sources

Photoelectric sensors can generally operate stably when the ambient illumination is high. However, avoid facing the optical axis of the sensor with strong light sources such as sunlight and incandescent lamps. If the angle of the optical axis of the sensor (light receiver) and the strong light source cannot be changed, a light shield can be installed around the top of the sensor or a light shield cylinder can be covered.

2. Avoid disturbing each other

Photoelectric sensors usually automatically avoid disturbing each other, so there is no need to worry about disturbing each other. However, when several groups are approaching the device in parallel, the cross-beam infrared photoelectric sensor should avoid disturbing each other and each other. The most effective way to avoid this disturbance is to set the emitter and receiver cross, and to distance the group when more than 2 groups are exceeded. Of course, it's also a good idea to use different frequencies.

3. Mirror angle effect

When the measured object is shiny or encounters a smooth metal surface, the reflectivity is generally very high, and it has the effect of approximating a mirror surface, so that the projector and the detected object should be set into an angle of 10-20 °, so that its optical axis is not perpendicular to the detected object, and then avoid misoperation.

4. Eliminate the influence of the cloth scene

When using reflective dispersion projectors and receivers, the photoelectric sensor may not be able to detect the photoelectric sensor reliably because the detected object is close to the scene, and the photoelectric sensor may not be able to detect the photoelectric sensor stably, depending on the background of the object with high reflectivity, such as smoothness. Therefore, it is possible to use a space-limited projector or light receiver instead, or to eliminate it by choosing to stay away from the cloth scene, remove the cloth scene, paint the cloth scene black, or try to make the cloth scene rough and dull.

5. Use of self-diagnosis effect

In the installation or application, there may be problems such as small deviation of the optical axis, lens contamination, dust accumulation, external noise, and ambient temperature out of range due to the influence of the countertop or scenery, as well as the use of vibration. These problems may cause the photoelectric sensor to deviate from the safe operation area, so the self-diagnosis effect of the photoelectric sensor can be used to make it notify through the STABLIDATE green safety indicator to prompt the user to adjust it in time.
