6. What should I pay attention to when using the motor?

Check the following before powering on:

1) Whether the power supply voltage is appropriate (overvoltage is likely to cause damage to the drive module); The +/- polarity of the DC input must not be misconnected, and whether the motor model or current setpoint on the drive controller is appropriate (not too large at the beginning);

2) The control signal line is firmly connected, and it is best to consider the shielding problem in the industrial site (such as using twisted pair cables);

3) Don't start with all the wires that need to be connected, just connect them into the most basic system, and then connect them gradually after they are working well.

4) Be sure to figure out the grounding method, or use the floating non-connection.

5) Closely observe the state of the motor within half an hour of starting operation, such as whether the movement is normal, the sound and the temperature rise, and stop the machine immediately for adjustment if the problem is found.

7. When the stepper motor starts to run, sometimes it will not move or move back and forth in place, and sometimes it will lose step when running, what is the problem?

In general, the following aspects should be considered:

1) Whether the motor torque is large enough and whether it can drive the load, so we generally recommend that users choose a motor with a torque greater than the actual need of 50%-100%, because the stepper motor cannot run under overload, even if it is instantaneous, it will cause a loss of step, a serious stop or irregular repeated movement in place.

2) Whether the current of the input walking pulse from the upper controller is large enough (generally >10mA) to make the optocoupler stable and on, whether the input frequency is too high, resulting in no reception, if the output circuit of the upper controller is a CMOS circuit, then a CMOS input driver should also be selected.

3) Whether the starting frequency is too high, whether the acceleration process is set on the starting program, it is best to start accelerating to the set frequency within the specified starting frequency of the motor, even if the acceleration time is very short, otherwise it may be unstable or even inert.

4) When the motor is not fixed, this situation sometimes occurs, and it is normal. This is because, in fact, the strong resonance of the motor is caused at this time, and it enters a state of out-of-step. The motor must be secured.

5) For 5-phase motors, the phase is connected incorrectly, and the motor cannot work.

8. Can I directly control the servo motor through communication?

Yes, it's more convenient, it's just a matter of speed, and it's used in applications that don't require too high response speed. If fast response to control parameters is required, it is best to use a servo motion control card, which generally has DSP and high-speed logic processing circuits on it to achieve high-speed and high-precision motion control. Such as S acceleration, multi-axis interpolation, etc.

9. Is it good to use switching power supply to supply power to stepper and DC motor systems?

In general, it is best not to, especially for high-torque motors, unless a switching power supply is more than twice the power required. This is because the motor is a large inductive load when it operates, which will cause an instantaneous high voltage on the power supply side. The overload performance of the switching power supply is not good, it will protect the shutdown, and its precise voltage regulation performance is not required, which may sometimes cause damage to the switching power supply and the driver. DC power supplies can be transformed with conventional toroidal or R-type transformers.

10. If you want to use a DC voltage of ±10V or 4-20mA to control the stepper motor, is it okay?
