Solution provider EPLAN presents the current EPLAN Platform 2022 with its object-oriented data management capabilities, the new "Insertion Center" and the cleverly integrated cloud solution. Cooling systems and services that improve sustainability
Energy-efficient and sustainable operation of control systems and switchgear is another key issue. As a result, Rittal is launching its new Blue e+ S cooling unit, which, thanks to efficient hybrid cooling with free-cooling heat pipes, has shown initial test installations to deliver energy savings of up to 70% compared to previous solutions. A new refrigerant further reduces the global warming potential. Intelligent service networking technology is also integrated. The Rittal Smart Service visualizes the operating characteristics of the cooling unit. Data is transmitted in real-time to facilitate the planning of required maintenance and ensure early detection of critical errors. German Edge Cloud points out that even the first step towards digital transformation presents an important opportunity to optimize existing manufacturing structures. In the case of the new Rittal factory in Haiger, the IIoT expert will show how data can be used in an intelligent production environment designed according to Industry 4.0 principles. More than 250 high-tech machines and plant components are connected to each other, and the digital production system Oncite increases transparency and expands the possibilities for plant and system control based on data analysis.
